5G delivers speeds up to 100 times faster than 4G, with latency dropping to 1 millisecond, allowing real-time data processing essential for IoT networks. It supports up to one million devices per square kilometer, far surpassing prior networks, which is vital for dense urban IoT deployments like sensors in traffic systems or environmental monitors. Enhanced mobile broadband and ultra-reliable low-latency communication also improve energy efficiency and security for IoT devices.


Smart City Applications


In transportation, 5G powers autonomous vehicles and traffic optimization by enabling instant data exchange between vehicles, signals, and infrastructure. Public safety benefits from real-time video surveillance and anomaly detection via widespread IoT cameras and sensors. Energy management sees gains through smart grids and streetlights that adjust dynamically based on usage data, promoting sustainability.
